How do I complete the application?

When completing your application for registration online, there are certain fields that are mandatory. If these fields are left blank, you will receive an error message prompting you to complete them.

Every field has a ‘?’ button. If you need help in completing a field, use this button to assist you. There are some fields that may be of particular concern when completing some applications. For example:

For Australian business number (ABN) and tax file number (TFN) registrations, you can save the application and continue later.

You will be given a reference number and you will need this number and your password to continue the saved application.

When registering, the ABR system gives you the option to print what you have done. For further information, select help from either the overhead or right hand menu panels.
